My skills go beyond print. I can take your project it to the web or create an interactive CD with a dynamic User Interface.

Photomontage
This image is a photmontage which represents the chemical composition of water, H2O. Images from the periodic table, ocean waves, blue ink wash and vellum were pulled together functionally to represent the illustrated image.
As an independant project I am working on creating a series of visual imagery representing other chemical compounds such as Hydrogen, Caffeine, Glucose and Gold.

| Cover Design / Technical Illustration
The catalog cover on the left was designed for a technical engineering catalog, Engineering Solutions Direct using Adobe Illustrator from the Adobe Creative Suite.

| Technical Illustration / Operation Manual
This is a page spread from a technical manual I created while at Cole
Parmer. The manufacturer supplied a pump head which the Cole Parmer
studio photographed. I took the Photoshop images and drew them using
Adobe Illustrator.

| Ad Production
Creating ads usually involves getting the written content from the Writer and product or images from the Product Manager. These elements are them put together with a page layout program, in this case Quark Xpress. Although, I am also skilled at InDesign which is part of the Adobe Creative Suite. Good art direction, consistant corporate style and accurate content make a selling ad!

As a Print Consultant at Kwik Kopy I work with the customers to boost local businesses. On this particular project the plumber wanted a themed business card with an established retro-look. As the Art Director on this project I discussed the project requirements with the client, then interacted with the Kwik Kopy production artists to achieve the desired result.

| Catalog Page Production / Design Lead
This was a page from catalog production at Cole Parmer. Core ads were created and uploaded to a database which were to be used as neccessary in page production. I was part of a team to produce Cole Parmer's 2200+ page 2003-2004 Scientific Instruments catalog.

| Catalog Production
At SciTech International we created a great system to convert the product database to a MS Word text file. With a MS data mail merge we placed tags within the catalog document. These tags became the style sheet tags once we imported the MS Word document into our page layout program. As the Graphic Designer catalog pours were quick, fast and accurate. We could go from a primary catalog cutover to be on press in a matter of six weeks. Catalogs ranged from 54 to 96 product pages!

| Newspaper Circular
Seasonal News Ad for a local grocery store chain, Jewel Osco. I have the knowledge to place advertisments in newspapers and circulars nationwide. Gathering content, page production, profreading and ad insertion dates ( deadlines ), are all part of the process.

Retail Point Of Purchase Displays / Signage
These were just a few of the many POP ( Point of Purchase ) aisle violators that were designed for Arvey Paper and Office Products. Arvey Paper and Office Products was similar to the OfficeMax, Office Depot or Staples of today! Ask me about the Arvey Delivery Truck assignment!

| Flash Animation
Animated GIF for webpages and portable mobile devices. I’ve used PowerPoint and Fireworks to create Flash animations and graphics for SciTech International, Jewel Osco and Motorola. I’ve even built simple animated banners for websites and other projects. For example, the animation on the left was created in Fireworks and used as an icon for Verizon.

User Interface Design
When I worked at Motorola, in their Consumer Xperience Design Group I created these Layout Requirement Specification Guidelines for Verizon. The programmers used these sheets to determine where the graphics and icons would be positioned in the webpage of the mobile device.

Original logo designs for an two independant after-school programs at the Oswego Park District. I have also worked for Pryor Architectural Signage Systems creating signs and hotel directories for the hospitality industy.

While at Motorola I created Powerpoint presentations internally for associates and externally for sales reps and customers. This sample to the left is a presentation to demonstate the branding guidelines to be used when creating Motorola collateral.

| MS Word Form Design
This form was created in Microsoft Word. It was part of a project where I devised a system to created 572 Interactive locked forms for the Specialty Pharmacy using MS Word mail merge. The forms were to be used in 3 formats: static & active field MS Word documents, and printable PDFs.

| Technical Writer
While employed at Cole Parmer I was trained a s a Technical Writer and Proofreader. Each ad that crossed my desk was observed for technical accuracy against the technical specification attached with the ad packet. On some ads art direction was orderered to highlight a special feature. This additional photograph was used as insets to the original content ad.

| T-Shirt Design
This logo for SciTech International was placed across the back of the T-Shirt to promote the launch of the web site:

The web address was bought with the purchase of entire company, SciTech International by Cole Parmer in 2000.
